Three Tourists Injured in the Carpathians in a Single Day

On July 7, rescuers in the Prykarpattia region responded to three separate calls to assist tourists injured while hiking in the Carpathian Mountains. In each case, the injured were given first aid and taken to medical staff or to nearby settlements.

 Informator Kolomyia reports, citing a post from the State Emergency Service (DSNS).

The first call came from the Dil mountain pasture near Vorokhta. A 55-year-old woman from Shostka, in Sumy region, injured her leg during a hike and was unable to continue on her own. Rescuers from Vorokhta reached her, provided pre-medical care, and transported her to the village.

Shortly after, help was needed for another tourist near Mount Shpytsi. A 48-year-old woman from Konotop also injured her leg while descending. Rescuers from Verkhovyna gave her the necessary assistance and brought her to the village of Bystrets, where she was handed over to medics.

The third incident occurred during a descent from Hoverla, between the green and blue trails. A 26-year-old man from Chernivtsi injured his leg and could not continue moving. Rescuers from the Zaroslyak station reached him, administered first aid, transported him to a training and sports base, and handed him over to medical staff.
