A man was caught with drugs at the Nova Poshta in Kolomyia. What the court decided
The Kolomyia City District Court found a man guilty of illegally purchasing and storing dangerous psychotropic drugs.
The Kolomyia Informant reports based on the verdict of the Kolomyia court.
As the court found, in early June 2026, the accused ordered PVP via the Telegram messenger. The parcel was sent to branch No. 3 of Nova Poshta on Stary Rynok Square in Kolomyia. On June 10, the man received a package in which the psychotropic substance was hidden in a box of Savex washing powder.
Immediately after receiving the package, he was stopped by police officers. During the inspection, the man voluntarily handed over the package. The examination confirmed that inside was 0.8106 grams of PVP, a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance, the circulation of which is prohibited in Ukraine.
The accused fully admitted his guilt, agreed to a summary trial, and sincerely repented.
For this, he was assigned one year of probation supervision with a number of obligations: to periodically appear at the probation agency, to report any change in place of residence, work, or study, not to travel outside Ukraine without permission, and to fulfill the measures of the probation program.
In addition to probation supervision, the court charged him UAH 1,925.44 for the costs of conducting an examination, and ordered the seized psychotropic substance to be destroyed.
