During the active flowering of roses, you should not pick off wilted flowers with your hands; it is better to properly trim the buds and thus help the bush become stronger.

Florist from Rozhnyatov Halyna Melnyk shared exclusive tips with journalists . In particular, the woman revealed the secrets of caring for a bush to stimulate a new wave of rose flowering.
For her, the main rule is to not just break off the faded buds after the first phase is over, but to make a proper cut. After all, long shoots can break under the weight of new flowers.
"To perform the procedure correctly, carefully examine the stem from the wilted flower down and find the first true leaf, which consists of five parts - the smaller trefoils, which are usually located higher, should be bypassed. The cut should be made with clean and sharp secateurs at a 45-degree angle, stepping back almost 1 centimeter above the bud," the woman says.
Another important point is that the bud should face the outside of the bush, not the inside. This will ensure the correct shape and better air circulation, which will protect the plant from diseases. And the oblique cut will help prevent moisture from accumulating on the stem.
“After you have pruned, don’t forget to water the rose abundantly and feed it with complex fertilizer — it is this comprehensive care that will guarantee the luxurious appearance of the rose garden until the very end of the season,” the Rozhnyatov resident details.
